Export Traffix Volume File(s)

TIAH uses as input computed traffic volume files that can be written-out by Traffix as text (.txt) files.

To write out your "computed volume file" (Traffix terminology) as text a file, follow these 3 simple steps:

(1) In your Traffix session, go to the TOOLS menu and select the option to WRITE COMPUTED VOLUME FILE. A sub-menu will appear offering several choices of what volumes you may write-out. Select one option (there may be sub-options). See the illustration below:

(2) A dialog box will appear. Select the option TEXT FORMAT. See the illustration below.

(3) At this point, a standard Windows File-Save dialog box will appear (see below). Type in the file name under which you want to save the volumes and click OK. The file name can be anything (we suggest something descriptive, e.g. "AM Peak Buildout.txt").

To save additional volume files (e.g. PM Peak), repeat steps 1-3 above.

You are now ready to experience the fastest way to bring Traffix intersection volumes into your AutoCAD exhibit(s).
