Using SITE⁄TEAPAC SITE.FOR Data Files

TIAH 4 provides an expanded set of capabilities in reading SITE data files. TIAH will read your SITE project files, i.e. files ending with .FOR, for example: Project_1.FOR. The .FOR files contain comprehensive SITE project data including base intersection volumes, site-generated volumes, and factors that may be used to calculate future background volumes, and final site-generated volumes.

TIAH 4 allows the user to select any base or factored set of volumes present in the .FOR data file, including total⁄cumulative volumes, from one or two .FOR data files.

Use the Main Toolbox to Import Volumes from a .FOR data file:

To get started, select one volume data file, e.g. [AM File], or two files, e.g. [AM File] and [PM File] that were saved as copies of the filename.FOR file, where "filename" is the user-assigned name of the SITE project file. Use the [AM File] and [PM File] buttons to browse to the data files on your hard drive.

TIAH can list and⁄or calculate five different volume values based on the data contained in the filename.FOR project file.
These volumes are:
[V1 Base⁄Existing Volume] is the base (e.g. existing) volume listed in the project file

[V2 Calc Future Background Volume] = V1 x AGF ^ Years, where AGF is the Annual Growth Factor and Years is the number of years between the base (e.g. current) year and the future year of the analysis scenario.

[V3 Site Generated Volume] =  development-generated volume as calculated by SITE⁄TEAPAC

[V4 Site Generated Volume (Factored)] = V3 x [User Factor], where User Factor is the adjustment factor entered by the SITE user in the traffic model.

[V5 Total Future Traffic] = V2 + V4

Note: These calculations are based on variables VOLUMES, VOLFACT, and VOLADDI that exist in the project.FOR file for each intersection analyzed with the SITE⁄TEAPAC model. Please refer to the SITE⁄TEAPAC Help for more information on the .FOR file structure and volume variable conventions.
