Installing TIAH for the First Time

TIAH can be installed on computers with a full version of AutoCAD 2000 through 2007. "Lite" or "LT" versions of AutoCAD are not supported.

Things to do first:

(1) Save the TIAH setup file downloaded from the TIAH website to a directory of your choice (e.g.        C:\temp)

(2) Close AutoCAD and all other applications.

(3) Run (execute) the TIAH setup program.

After running the Setup program:

(1) Register TIAH to remove the 2-intersection limitation (demo mode). The registration process is simple, here is a brief summary:

(a) Start TIAH within AutoCAD (select the top-most menu item under the TIAH drop-down menu, in the AutoCAD menubar). This will open the main program interface.

(b) Click on the Register button and fill out the short registration form. This will create a text file that will be saved to your C:\Program Files\TIAH directory.

(c) Email the text file to register@tiahelper.com. We will send you a license file by return email that should be placed in the C:\Program Files\TIAH directory. Once the license file is put in that directory, TIAH will automatically become fully-enabled.

Note to AutoCAD 2006 users:

In very rare cases, TIAH menu file may not load automatically in AutoCAD 2006. Users would have to manually add the TIAH.cui file. This can be done by a one-time call using the CUILOAD command. (aka "menuload" in previous versions). Once the command is issued, a dialog similar to the old "menuload" dialog is displayed. Users then browse to "C:\Program Files\TIAH" and select the TIAH.cui. Hit "OK", then select "Load". The menu file will now be loaded. No more user interaction is required.
