How to Install TIAH
After downloading the current version of TIAH, follow these simple steps to install it on your computer.

(1) Login to your PC under your User (not Administrator) account. Note that the user account should be set up with Power User permissions, at least during the TIAH installation process. *** This is very important because without adequate user permissions/rights, the Windows registry on your PC may not be properly updated, which can result in erratic program behavior.

(2) Close AutoCAD and any other applications.

(3) Backup your system (always a good idea when installing new software). At the minimum, if you currently use an earlier version of TIAH, make a backup copy of these directories (as applicable):

C:\TIAHelperT,
C:\TIAHelperS, and
C:\Program Files\TIAH.

While TIAH does not in any way affect any previous installations of the TIAH 1.x or TIAH 2.x software (unless the earlier version was installed in the C:\Program Files\TIAH directory), backing up your TIAH 1.x/2.x data will ensure that you can always go back to a working installation.

(4) Run the TIAH setup program, making sure that you select the correct AutoCAD User Profile during setup.

(5) Register TIAH (see "How to Register" on the TIAH website)

Note for current TIAH 3.2 users: the setup program for TIAH 4 will create a subdirectory under the TIAH program directory where your current TIAH 3.2 installation will be saved. You can restore TIAH 3.2 if needed by running the restore program found in that subdirectory. Current TIAH 3.2 users are reminded that running TIAH 4 setup will overwrite the original v3.2 installation. In a heavy production-oriented environment, it is recommended that users consider installing TIAH 4 on separate PC, to allow ample time to set up the program defaults and familiarize the users with new feature without affecting the TIA production workflow.
